Karlis Vitol's Minotaur wins gold in China.
Karlis Vitol's Minotaur was awarded gold medal and the title of "EU-China New Star" in the first EU-China Short Film Festival Award Ceremony.
The festival took place at the Beijing Office of the Delegation of the European Union to China on September 28. Each short film was no longer than 40 minutes, and they were all by directors under the age of 35. A total of 36 European filmmakers and 42 Chinese filmmakers participated in the competition. Several films received awards, including Latvia's Minotaur and China's The Cinema For the Blind.
